The final set up has not be confirmed, but you will need area approx 20 x 25 for 9 – 12 players per group
Balls & 3 colours of Bibs
Random receiving & passing warm up
Dependent on the age & ability of players 3 teams of 3 – 5 players with 1 or 2 balls per team.
Passing the ball to their own teammates who then on receiving the ball take the ball out of their feet and look to pass to another teammate.
Once the pass is made, every player should be looking to find a new space to receive the ball
Visual, look at the player you are about to pass to is he looking at you ?
Are they showing exactly where they want the ball ?
Is it a good option ? can you make that pass ?
Verbal, call for the pass & / or tell the player you are passing to them
Space – Good players find space
Player looking for the pass check all around you to find the best space possible
Player with the ball keep looking all around so you canas many of your team as possible
With the instep can you make the pass as easy as possible for your teammate to control
Can you be accurate passing exactly to the foot they have shown
You must receive the ball on the back foot and take the ball away from where it has come from

The Drill Structure
3 teams of 3 – 5 players
Teams in zones as shown on the diagram, middle zone will be narrower and curved in shape
Cones included for 2 wide zones to be used if required
Red players try to create a space to make a successful pass to the yellow team
If the blues intercept they switch places and the red become the defenders in the middle zone
Remember the key points from the warm up
Set the drill up and the observe
Can the players gain success ? Is the area the right size for your players ? adjust width if required
After gaining sucess with the basic drill, we want to challenge the players more
Add in a time limit or limit the touches available in each zone before the ball is transferred.
If still not challenging enough allow 1 defender to move into the zone where the ball is to try and win the ball.
This challenges the players in possession, but should make bigger spaces to pass through the middle zone.
