Hungary will this evening no doubt face the toughest game of the Euros against Portugal, but can they make their chances count against a misfiring Portugal team who have yet to win a game.
A player who could very well be quite effective in this game is László Kleinheisler, the Hungarian midfielder who was awarded Man of the Match against Austria in their opening group game of the tournament.
Name: László Kleinheisler
Position: Centre midfield/Right midfield
Club: Werder Bremen
Key attributes: Hard working midfielder, likes to get involved in a tackle, often gets involved in quick 1/2 pass exchanges with teamates, has a low centre of gravity which allows him to change direction quickly which makes him good at keeping the ball when he receives or wins it, good acceleration, tends to drive into space when its in front of him, likes to bring the ball from defence to attack making him quite an effective player.
Skills to watch out for: Step-on, inside/ outside cuts. These skills allow him to retain the ball, which is very important for a central midfielder.
Most effective when….. stopping an attack, transitioning the ball from defense to attack, winning the ball, retaining the ball, getting involved in nice quick pass movements by his team.
