From Friday all existing Academy programs will be held at 6pm on the UL astro pitch.

University of Limerick is home to some of the best sports facilities in Ireland and has a strong schoolboy & schoolgirl links with Regional Development Squads training and National Cup competitions hosted at the venue annually.

Jason Brown Technical Director explained, “Coerver are delighted with the agreement to move to the UL Sports Complex, the facilities are second to none and are used for all SFAI elite programs in the region. As part of our ethos we aim to give our players the best soccer coaching experience possible, so we have to make use of the probably the  best complex in Munster when it becomes available. With both indoor and outdoor pitches available to Coerver we can provide a range of  programs throughout the season to suit the seasonal conditions. The additional space available offers a single time slot for all age groups,  and allows our staff the luxury of working without the limitations of a smaller restricted pitch space.”

IRELANDS LARGEST ALL-WEATHER FLOODLIT PARK

This multi-purpose fully floodlit all weather synthetic grass park contains two full size 3rd Generation soccer pitches, one full size 3rd Generation rugby pitch and a full size 3G GAA pitch. This is the largest artificial grass development in Ireland to date designed to IRB, GAA and FIFA specifications.

The 3G All Weather surface plays like natural grass and is designed for full contact. Each full size pitch can be sub-divided to create smaller sized playing areas. Player comfort is a priority and this synthetic surface is unlike most others as it eliminates carpet burn and reduces the risk of injuries caused by the other hard or uneven surfaces.

In addition to the state of the art playing fields, a Sports Pavilion which contains a Reception Area, eight changing rooms (all with under floor heating), two squad meeting rooms and the Pavilion Bar & Restaurant.
