This is one of the most asked questions we get asked, “Is it suitable for my daughter, or is it just for boys ?”
Coerver Coaching Munster are committed to helping the development of the female game in Ireland.
Technical Director Jason Brown is also Head Coach at the Cork Womens & Schoolgirls Soccer Development Centre and has been actively involved in the womens game for a number of years.
“From day one we have always had a vision to try and help the growth of the girls game in Munster, if you look at the growth of the female game in England and USA there is no reason we cannot achieve this. From our experience we have found that the girls that attend our Academy or Play Like the Stars Camps are more than able to compete with their male counterparts and they really enjoy learning new skills to improve their game. Our coaching staff includes 7 female coaches and 3 male coaches who are actively involved in the womens game. Approximately 50% of the population are female so it would be great to see that shown in the attendance at our Christmas camps or Term 2 Performance Academy starting back in January. As with all players we are always sensitive to any new attendees, so our staff are always prepared to work with players to make them feel relaxed so they can enjoy their Coerver experience.”
Recently Coerver® Coaching teamed up with Kristine Lilly, ex USA International and former Coerver Kid, who still holds the world record for the most international caps.
Coerver® Coaching co-founder and Chelsea legend Charlie Cooke said, “We are working closely with Kristine to help develop the next generation of skilful female players and coaches globally. Kristine’s playing career is second to none in world soccer and her insights and life lessons are sure to help all players and coaches”.
Kristine Lilly said “I have been using the Coerver method since I was a really young player. It certainly helped me in my career and I strongly believe it’s the best way to coach players. I believe “Girls Soccer: Dream, Believe, Achieve” will help female players improve their life and soccer skills.”
